The $150.3 million refurbishment of the heritage-listed Perth Concert Hall is officially underway!

The $150.3 million redevelopment of the Perth Concert Hall marks a significant investment in Western Australia’s cultural and economic future. Funded collaboratively by the WA Government ($134.3 million), the Australian Government ($12 million), and the City of Perth ($4 million), this project is a cornerstone of the $1.7 billion Perth City Deal aimed at revitalizing the city’s infrastructure and economy.

Construction, led by Australian firm ADCO Constructions, commenced in early 2025 and is scheduled for completion in early 2028 . The refurbishment will not only preserve the hall’s renowned acoustics and architectural integrity but also enhance its facilities, including improved accessibility, upgraded seating, and new rehearsal spaces.

Beyond cultural enrichment, the project is poised to stimulate economic growth by creating jobs and boosting tourism. The revitalized venue is expected to attract over 160 events annually, drawing visitors and invigorating local businesses. This redevelopment underscores a commitment to fostering a vibrant arts scene while contributing to the broader economic diversification of Western Australia.
