Senior Interior Designer – Perth Healthcare & Specialist Fit-Out
An established national healthcare and specialist fit-out business is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join its Perth team.
This is a leadership-focused role responsible for delivering thoughtful, high-performing environments from concept through to construction. You will set the design direction, lead projects end-to-end, and ensure every outcome balance creativity, compliance and commercial discipline.
About the Role
You will take ownership of projects from briefing to delivery, working closely with clients, consultants and construction teams to ensure design intent is executed to the highest standard.
This role combines creative leadership with technical accountability and budget awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept design through documentation and construction support
- Establish and articulate clear design vision aligned to client objectives
- Prepare and oversee detailed documentation for fit-out and new build projects
- Ensure compliance with BCA, DDA and relevant certification pathways
- Manage design hours budget (zero overruns target)
- Maintain internal quality standards across all project stages
- Present design concepts confidently to clients and stakeholders
- Mentor and guide junior designers
- Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Drive exceptional client experience outcomes
What You Bring
- 10+ years’ experience in healthcare, commercial or specialist fit-out environments
- Strong technical documentation capability
- Sound knowledge of BCA and DDA compliance
- Proficiency in Archicad (preferred) or advanced Revit with willingness to transition
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to balance creativity with operational and budget realities
You are client-centric, commercially aware and confident leading both design conversations and internal teams.
