About the Company
 
A well-established civil and earthworks contractor with over a decade of experience delivering projects across WA’s Pilbara and Kimberley regions.
 
This business has built long-term relationships with tier-one mining operators and government clients, consistently delivering projects valued between $5m-$50m.

Core services include civil construction, bulk earthworks, project management, design, and mining operations. With a strong forward pipeline and repeat client base, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial capability as they move into the next phase of growth.

The Opportunity
 
This is a permanent, full-time Business Development Manager position based in Perth, with occasional travel to the Pilbara.
You’ll work closely with a hands-on leadership team to identify, secure, and convert new project opportunities across WA’s civil and mining sectors.
 
This is not a corporate desk role – it suits someone who understands contractors, knows how projects are won, and can build genuine relationships across the industry.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new project opportunities across civil, mining, and bulk earthworks sectors
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with tier-one mining clients, government bodies, and key stakeholders
  • Monitor upcoming tenders and position the business early for success
  • Lead preparation of tenders, proposals, and capability statements
  • Contribute to commercial strategy and market positioning
  • Work closely with operations and project teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and delivery

Your Background

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship Management within civil contracting, mining infrastructure, or earthworks
  • Strong understanding of WA’s mining and infrastructure market
  • Demonstrated experience preparing tenders and commercial proposals
  • Commercially astute with solid negotiation capability
  • Confident communicator who can engage at senior client level
  • Self-driven, structured, and capable of operating autonomously
