Due to continued growth across the WA infrastructure and resources sectors, our clients, established civil contractors, are looking to expand their estimating teams in Perth.
We are seeking Civil Estimators with 2–12 years’ experience, from developing estimators through to experienced tender professionals. These roles would also suit Project Engineers or Site Engineers who have gained estimating or tendering exposure and are looking to develop further within a pre-contracts team.
Projects include a range of civil construction and infrastructure works, with scopes such as earthworks, drainage, concrete structures, utilities, pipelines, marine works and mining infrastructure.

 
The Role
Working within established pre-contracts teams, you will assist in the preparation and delivery of competitive tenders while gaining exposure to major civil projects across WA.
Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost estimates
• Supporting first-principles rate build-ups and pricing reviews
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
• Assisting with tender submissions and bid documentation
• Identifying project risks and opportunities during the tender process

About You

• 2-12 years’ experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects
• Background as a Civil Estimator and ideally site-based experience as Project Engineer, Site Engineer or Quantity Surveyor
• Exposure to civil scopes such as earthworks, roads, utilities, pipelines, concrete or marine works
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Experience with estimating systems (Expert) & strong Excel skills
