The Opportunity

ECi Executive is partnering with a select group of established project and custom home builders across Perth who are expanding their drafting and design teams.

We’re looking to speak with experienced Residential Draftspersons and Building Designers with strong ARCHICAD capability who are considering their next career move.

Opportunities are available across project homes, custom builds and more bespoke residential developments, giving you the chance to find a role that suits your experience, preferred style of work and longer-term career goals.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the opportunity, your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing accurate working drawings and construction documentation for residential projects
• Producing and amending designs using ARCHICAD
• Taking projects through the drafting and documentation process
• Coordinating with estimators, schedulers, supervisors, consultants and internal teams
• Translating design briefs and client requirements into practical, buildable solutions
• Managing drawing amendments and documentation efficiently and accurately
• Ensuring designs comply with the NCC, Australian Standards, local council requirements and developer guidelines
• Resolving design and construction queries throughout the project lifecycle

About You

We’re interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• Previous experience in residential drafting or building design
• Proven ARCHICAD experience – essential
• Experience within a project, custom or residential home builder
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and documentation
• Sound understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards and relevant WA requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and document accuracy
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
