New jobs data from the ABS for March 2023 show WA’s economy remains strong.
A record 1.53 million Western Australians were employed in March, including the highest ever level of full-time employment.
The strong result has been underpinned by women finding full-time employment growing by more than 10% over the past 12 months – a terrific result.
And WA’s unemployment rate fell to 3.4% in March 2023 – the second lowest of the States, while our labour force participation rate remains the highest of the States at 69.1%.
