$148.8M Mandurah Bridge Project Delivers Jobs and Long-Term Growth

The completion of the $148.8 million Mandurah Estuary Bridge Duplication marks a major win for Western Australia’s infrastructure pipeline, jointly funded by the Australian Government ($68M) and WA Government ($80.8M).

During construction, the project supported around 500 local jobs, driving strong demand across engineering, construction, and supply chains, while also exceeding Aboriginal employment and business participation targets.

Now complete, the duplication removes a key congestion bottleneck for 33,000+ daily vehicle movements, improving travel times, freight efficiency, and connectivity across the Peel region.

These upgrades are already delivering economic benefits – supporting local businesses, tourism, and population growth, while positioning the region for future expansion.

Beyond construction, the project highlights how targeted infrastructure investment not only creates immediate employment but also drives long-term productivity, accessibility, and sustained job opportunities across Western Australia’s civil and infrastructure sectors.
