The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a high-performing pre-construction team delivering some of WA’s most high-profile commercial construction projects.

Based in a modern Perth CBD office, this role sits within a dynamic new business function and plays a critical part in securing major projects from the ground up.

This is more than just pricing – you’ll be involved in strategy, design input, stakeholder engagement and tender success, making it an ideal role for someone who wants to broaden their commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and cost plans
• Review drawings, specifications and project scopes
• Collaborate with design, delivery and client teams to ensure alignment
• Identify cost risks, opportunities and value engineering strategies
• Engage subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Assess and analyse subcontractor submissions
• Support tender strategy and bid development
• Maintain cost databases and benchmarking information
• Provide cost advice and feasibility input across projects

About You

• 5+ years’ experience in estimating within commercial construction
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and market conditions
• Experience working on medium to large-scale projects
• Proficiency in CostX, Excel, Aconex or EstimateOne (or similar)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
• High attention to detail with strong time management skills

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  or
• Diploma of Building / relevant trade background
