The WA Cook Labor Government has announced a $75.2 million investment into a major new residential development in South Hedland, creating a significant pipeline of civil and construction work across the Pilbara.

The project will unlock new residential land through major enabling infrastructure and subdivision works, supporting ongoing regional growth and workforce demand linked to the resources sector.

Construction opportunities are expected across:

• Bulk earthworks and land development
• Roads, drainage and utility infrastructure
• Power, water and sewer installation
• Residential subdivision delivery
• Housing construction and associated trades

The development is also expected to drive demand for civil contractors, project engineers, supervisors, trades and FIFO construction personnel.

The investment further strengthens the Pilbara’s position as a key regional growth corridor, with continued Government-backed infrastructure and housing delivery creating long-term opportunities for WA civil and residential construction sectors.
